The X is for Exhausted

I started a new workout program called “P90X” this week. It’s a video-based program with a dozen or so different routines. You do one routine per day, six days per week following the program calendar. Monday was day 1 of 90.

Right now my body feels like it used to during reg week in the UW Marching Band. I can’t lift my arms over my head very well, and my legs don’t like going up and down stairs. Unlike the band days though, at least the bottoms of my feet don’t hurt.

Well, that’s the bad news. The good news is that overall I feel great mentally. I’ve been so exhausted physically for the last few days that I haven’t had any spare energy to get irritated about things.

I never really bought into the whole stress thing before, but I don’t really have any other explation for the goings-on of much of this year. Exercise really seems to be helping. Next: a short vacation and finding the time for playing more music.
