Kayaking 2010

I’m finally getting around to posting some video from my kayaking trip last fall. I went up to the Apostle Islands in Lake Superior to check out the sea caves. Well, the original plan was to do some island hopping and camping, but the weather didn’t really cooperate completely, so I made it about the sea caves.

The video was shot on an iPhone, and I think it looks ok for a first attempt. I edited the voiceovers at home using iMovie and Logic Express over the last couple weekends (with incongruous cold and snow outside).

Part of the video has a lot of wind noise that I tried to filter a bit in Logic, but if the source material is noisy, there is only so much you can do. I don’t have a Zeppelin for my iPhone, so I hope the subtitles are a reasonable alternative.

I also had my Garmin Forerunner on my wrist, so check out my route.
